Why do my brakes squeak

Brake noise November 17, 2010

Brake noise can indicate a problem with your braking system or may be a simple repair you can do yourself.  Sometimes brake squeal is nothing more then dust or dirt build up inside the wheels, running your car thru an automatic car wash or pressure washing the front and rear brakes at a self service car wash will sometimes do the trick.  If a vehicle sits for sometimes as little as a couple days, brake rotors can develop a small amount of surface rust and cause brake noise.  If this is the case usually after normal driving of your vehicle, the brake noise will subside.  These are some examples of common brake noise if the noise persists you may want to bring your vehicle in for a brake inspection.  We can check your complete brake system, give you a recommendation and price before any work is performed.  Please feel free to call us any time.  Triangle auto service, 4060 N.
